CompactGTL refutes allegation of infringement
Thursday, March 21st, 2013
CompactGTL Ltd, the pioneer of integrated modular, gas-to-liquids (GTL) plants for the oil & gas industry and provider of the world’s first modular GTL plant, notes that yesterday a patent case was filed against it by Oxford Catalyst Group’s subsidiary Velocys, Inc., in the UK High Court alleging infringement of two patents licensed to Velocys Inc by the Battelle Memorial Institute.
CompactGTL refutes this allegation of infringement and believes that the patents in the suit are invalid having already filed for revocation in the UK High Court in 2010. The company will be vigorously defending itself against this legal action.
As the pioneer of integrated modular GTL plants, CompactGTL is engaged with numerous oil and gas companies around the world; progressing towards securing the first commercial contracts for modular GTL plants.
