Global License Granted to Shell
Following an opposition hearing in 2009, the process claims of CompactGTL’s European Patent number 1,567,616, which covers the two-stage Fischer Tropsch synthesis, were upheld as granted and without amendment. Shell withdrew its appeal against this decision and CompactGTL has granted Shell a global license to the patent.”
Equivalent patents covering the two-stage FT process are also now granted in numerous key territories around the world.
