CompactGTL technologies were originally developed within Accentus plc.
Until October 2005, Accentus plc was AEA Technology's intellectual property business, formerly part of the UK Atomic Energy Authority. In October 2005, Accentus plc was acquired by Coller Capital as part of a portfolio of non-core assets being sold by AEA Technology plc.
In May 2006, CompactGTL plc was established and subsequently acquired all the shares of GTL Microsystems AG (GTLM), and the Process division of Accentus plc. The Process division of Accentus had previously owned the core intellectual property and supplied technical support and development services to GTLM. All key Accentus employees were also transferred to CompactGTL. Consequently, all the assets, IP and personnel now reside within the Company.
